Bye 2e7 2006.
In the beginning, I felt kinda sad that I'd be separated from 1e3.
When Ms Ho made us sit in a circle to play her ice-breaking games, I thought it was soo stupid, embarassing and pointless.
Seeing each unfamilliar face around the circle only served to elevate the sense of lonliness.
My only consolation was that I knew a few people in the class.
My former classmates: Tiffany, Xin Yi, Aziz, Marcus.
Tiff and Zara's friend: Corrina
And my choir friend: Maggie
The rest of them.. I didn't really know them.
My thick-skinned-ness kicked in. I introduced myself and started acting dumb - as usual.
My first seating group was made up of Xue Wei, Chuan Kai and Fadli.
Xue Wei was talking to all of us cos I didn't know any of them while she was in the same class as them the previous year.
The one thing that I remembered most about this group, was our History lessons. We crapped away while doing the mindmaps and stuff on majong paper.
Next, I moved to the next group - Xin Yi, George(Qing Tao), Faruq and I.
I felt that this group was quite sian. I talked more to Faruq cos he could only speak English to me.
Most of the time when I was talking to George, I had to use Mandarin. I suck at it! So, I just didn't talk to him much. It was mostly Xin Yi talking to him.
Both guys were like blind bats. lol. They both requested to change seats cos they couldn't
resist our feminine wiles see properly. hee.
So, Wei Zhou and Jia Hao came along.
They were two of the tallest guys in class. Standing in between them, I felt like a DWARF.
Xin Yi felt alienated seated with Wei Zhou cos he never talked to her so my group switched around places.
In the end, our group was seated like this:
Wei Zhou, Jia Hao, Me, Xin Yi.
This group was fun. Only bad thing - Everytime our group was given a maths quiz, chances are, I'd be the only one in my group getting less than full marks. bleh. They were bullying me.
Nevermind. I had my
(not-so secret) secret weapon. My... mouth!!
I could talk and sing endlessly, causing my group to get irritated. HA!
Tit for tat. Who asked you guys to bully me. =P
Jia Hao was funny. He kept saying 'kan ni' and doing the guan yin ma hand pose. LOL.
Xin Yi tortured me by drilling her finger into my side. DAMN it hurt.
I had some
gratification bad feeling about seeing Xin Yi and Elaine exchange bad words and venomous glares at each other at irregular intervals.
DAMN it was fun!Wei Zhou seemed very quiet but once he was in my group then I thought otherwise.
Lala. This group was the 'funnest'.
I remember the 2 sisters. Ms Teo and Mrs Ng.
Ms Teo was a pretty and good maths teacher.
A bunch of us all insisted that she and Wan Leng looked alike and even forced them to take a bunch of pictures together before her attachment was over.
Mrs Ng was bubbly, fun and loved to share anecdotes of her university life.
Our history lessons were fun and it didn't hurt that she
liked to pick on one of the girls I don't like.
She acted like a mother to us, doling out advice on everything under the sun, from school work to relationships.
By this time, a bunch of us girls had established ourselves as a group called the "7 Heavenly Sisters" (?) aka 'qi xian nu'.
Me, Tiff, Corr, Mag, Wan Leng, Xue Wei and Xin Yi.
Made up of 3 CCAs. Choir (Me, Mag, Wan leng), Netball (Tiff and Corr) and CO (Xue Wei and Xin Yi).
I also remember the first class gathering at Zhan Wei's house.
There, we played captain's ball (which was especially memorable for me. dun tell you why. =D ), tennis, dai di and barbequed the night away..
We listened to Ms Ho's (not) scary story and barbequed marshmellows. Actually, it was mostly Wei Zhou and Yong Xiang doing the barbequeing of marshmellows.
Both 'chefs' marshmellows turned out que marvellous! Delish.
The second gathering, this time at Ms Chia's house, turned out slightly disappointing - but I've come to expect this from my class.
It was held right after the Student Leader's camp, which many of us attended.
In my opinion, it sucked. Except for the 2nd day and the last bit.
The barbeque was ok I guess. Hanging around there was kinda fun.
I liked that we were able to dip our legs into the water and sit by the poolside.
I liked the marshmellow roasting as usual. Nicenice. mm.
The attempt I made at playing tennis was successful!! =)
Only thing that spoilt it was.. captain's ball, or should I say.. LACK of captain's ball.
MEAN GUYS!
The walk home was kind of freaky.. with dingdong going mental on me. lol. jk.
"I can feel the darkness overwhelming me." er. HAHAHH.
I also remember my art group. Syafi'ie, Yong Xiang, Xue Wei, Me, Wan Leng and Chuan Kai.
Ours was the crappiest, noisiest and most fun group - partially because of my tendency to talk and sing. =))
Ms Sim never managed to notice that Wan Leng and I were sitting side by side even though it was supposed to be a boy-girl-boy-girl seating arrangement.
(Actually, everytime she came to my group, I tried to distract her by crapping with her a bit. woops. lol.)
I remember grabbing Wan Leng and asking Jaron if he was jealous. HEE.
The fun times I've gone through are, sadly, comparable to the sad times.
HA! I bet NO ONE has been able to guess what my other blog address is.
Too bad. You won't be receiving it anytime soon. =)
There're too many fun things that happened throughout the whole year.
But. With happy things, come sad things too.
Right before my eyes, several friendships fell apart. Close friendships which involved much laughter and joy.
A girl who seemed like great fun, turned out unreasonable and over sensitive.
A boy who seemed like he was very nice, turned out selfish and unfeeling.
=(
Bye 2e7 2006.
