Day 1.
YAY!!!!!!!!!!
I went to the acapella camp today at republic poly
The place is sooo nice!! U wanna see can ask me to put in my dp cos im not gonna upload. heh.We reached there about 45 minutes early. lol. So we slacked.. Went to the toilet, 7-11 and finally, the auditorium.
They gave us a flyer thingy with a pic of the M-pact members(the old members. =(( )
Then we took a couple of pics..
There was a performance by M-pact and a short briefing by Angie.Then we had sectionals. Mag, Wan Leng and Yan Ting went to sop sectionals.
Yingying n I went to the Alto sectionals. Our leaders were Fletcher and Jeff.
When they gave us a short break, Ying Ying and I went to take a pic with them. =))
Jeff's(left) beatboxing is like.. WHOA. COOL man. And Fletcher is really funny and can tap dance!! =))Our sectionals were fun and we were the only part, out of the sops, mezzo-sops, tenors, baritones and bass-es to complete the first song. We even managed to learn the 2nd song fully too. HAHHA. ALTOS ROCK. Ahhh. So high man.
After that, we had combined singing, it didn't sound half bad. Then there came lunch.
I ate 2 cartons of yogurt and a big gulp. I didn't even finish half of the big gulp. lol.
The 7-11 at republic poly is selling the Tao Kae Noi seaweed at buy 2 get 2 free!! The one sheet one.. Lalala.. I have no teeth to eat but I still got the seaweed. hee.
After lunch, we all assembled in the auditorium again.

YingYing and I thought tt there wasn't any choice as to what workshop we had to attend.
See!! The arrow thingy. Copy and paste. lol. I was bored!!Cos the person who was taking our workshop, Dylan, had reaaaaly broad shoulders and well formed muscles. And Yingying commented.
His workshop was called Vocal Technique and Endurance. lol. So we thought tt we had to 'ren' his boring talk. It was slightly interesting sometimes la.
Mag, WL and YT went for this workshop called Sound Engineering with brian frm m-pact.
At 3.30, they came back. We stayed in the auditorium for a session with Marco on small group dynamics. He had 'guest speakers': Brian, Jeff, Britt and Trist- he came in for awhile but didn't speak.
It was quite fun listening to the guys' experiences and stuff..
After tt was time to go home..

We reached there SUPER SUPER early. Like.. 7 plus. !!!! So crazy..
We slacked agn.. I took pics. YingYing and I went to the cd tt table and talked crap.. lol.

We had a revision of the song with Angie. I saw Hui Min! lol. so random.
We went for the vocal percussion 101 with edmund. His percussion soo cool can?
After that, Ying Ying and I stayed in the auditorium. We thought tt the workshop on improvisation was held at the audi ma.. The other 3 went for a masterclass by TAS Youth Voices.
End up we found out tt our class was held @ lvl 4. Rushed up.
The workshop was based mostly on blues and jazz kind of music cos they usually use more improv. We had to listen to this blues-y 12 bar thing and improvise to the chords.
We had to sing one by one. SOO scary la!! I was planning to sing something but when Trist pointed at me to sing, everything flew from my mind and I just sang. I think I did do quite well la. Sounded quite nice.
After the lesson, Ying2 n I took a pic with Trist and Fletcher.
HAHAH. So funny.We took advanced vocal percussion with Jeff after lunch.
Then after tt, we had group rehearsals n performance. Then M-Pact performed a little for us. NICEEE. Then we took group pics..
